Tucked away on Cambridge Heath Road, 135 Bar & Lounge is one of Bethnal Green’s hidden gems, inspired by our Swedish owner’s Nordic roots.

Our mixologists are experts in their field, crafting some of the finest cocktails in Bethnal Green with artisanal spirits, hand-foraged botanicals, and seasonal produce, responsibly sourced from around the world. Alongside seasonal twists on classic cocktails, you’ll find a bespoke list of boutique wines, craft beers and ciders, along with a dynamic backbar featuring rare and distinctive spirits from across the world.

Food follows the same philosophy—thoughtful Nordic-European small plates and sharing boards designed for social dining. From Gravad Lax and Smørrebrød to cheese boards, vegan and vegetarian options, every dish is rooted in quality and sustainability.

By night, the lounge comes alive with music. Our curated vinyl collection, resident DJs, and live sessions span soul, funk, disco, jazz, and world music – all played through a rich, intimate, and environmental sound system designed for listening.

The brand behind 135 Bar & Lounge

In 2006, Johan Svensson, a Swedish native residing in London since 1998, founded Drinksfusion, a prominent cocktail catering company renowned for its creative and exquisite beverages, exceptional service, and unique drink menus tailored to prestigious events and distinguished clientele.

Johan’s passion for creating extraordinary cocktails, coupled with his commitment to sourcing natural flavours, has led Drinksfusion to serve stylish and phenomenal cocktails at prestigious venues such as the Tate Galleries,Victoria and Albert Museum, Buckingham Palace, and the Royal Academy of Arts. Johan’s expertise has also extended to curating custom drinks menus for notable individuals, including members of the Royal family, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, the Mittal family, Hugh Grant, and Beyoncé, and renowned organisations like Google, Adobe, Ralph Lauren, CHANEL, Fabergé, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Aston Martin.

Before establishing Drinksfusion, Johan’s extensive experience in the beverage industry began with humble beginnings as a pot washer in Sweden during his student days. After moving to London, he subsequently worked for The Savoy Group and Richard Branson’s famous members club, Kensington Roof Garden. From there, he moved to the renowned West London members club, The Cobden Club, where he designed one of the highest-rated drinks menus of its time and established strong working relationships with luxury artisan brands like Van Winkle Bourbon and Amathus drinks.

Today, Drinksfusion is recognised as a leading cocktail catering company within London’s luxury events scene, known for its stylish and personalised service.

The music bar

Our elegant music bar offers a sophisticated evening of dancing and drinks with a great view of the stage, DJ booth, and dance floor from vintage furniture and comfortable seating within a curated mood-lit ambiance.

The lounge bar

Our sophisticated lounge bar offers a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, perfect for enjoying premium cocktails. Guests can unwind in plush velvet seating by a vintage fireplace, where mood lighting enhances the ambiance, complemented by a stunning antique brass gantry with illuminated stained glass. The lounge provides a more intimate view of the stage area, with seating for 25, an additional 12 seats at the bar, and standing room for 15.
